Casey Snider Denson 11/2/2007 We just got back from the Dominican Republic a couple weeks ago and our honeymoon was wonderful! Candy really helped us since we were on a budget and just gave us our options for the price we were able to spend--she was always there for questions and quick to respond. Catalonia Bavaro is a wonderful resort if you're looking to go to the Dominican Republic, is all-inclusive with lots of activities during the day and absolutely fabulous shows at night!! There are not a lot of Americans, so brush up on your Spanish and meet people from around the world--ALSO, snorkeling here isn't as pretty as in Mexico but swimming with the sharks and stingrays was awesome (stingrays had stingers removed for safety!) and be sure to check out lunch or dinner at Capitan Cooks!! THANKS SO MUCH CANDY--GREAT HONEYMOON AND TRIP!! |
Landon 6/12/2007 Our honeymoon was perfect!! (Thanks to the help of Candy) She was always on top of everything and always kept me updated regarding any changes. There is normally so much going on around the time of your wedding, and it is so nice to not worry about planning your honeymoon on top of everything else. I told Candy a brief description of what we were looking for and in no time she set us up with an all inclusive package at the Sandals (Grande) in St. Lucia (which i would recommend to everyone..it was wonderful). Thanks again Candy, and I am looking forward to planning my next vacation with you! |
Chris Comeaux 3/5/2007 My bride-to-be and I weren't exactly sure what we were looking for in a honeymoon destination. After describing our likes and dislikes to Debbie and Candy, they recommended Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica. It couldn't have been more perfect. They were able to recommend the destination we knew we wanted, but we unable to articulate. Of course the logistics worked out great at a really good price. I would recommend using Travel Planners to anyone and plan to use them the next time I plan a trip. |
Jon Williams 2/27/2007 I was looking for a good travel agent and I had two people tell me to call Candy. She's booked three trips for us thus far and has bent over backwards to find great recommendations and the best deals possible. Candy has found great deals for Sandals Whitehouse and Sandals Halcyon St. Lucia as well as the perfect hotel for a quick getaway to San Francisco, all on fairly short notice. I'm sure she has clients that spend a ton more money that we do yet she treats us like #1 every single time, much better than any agent I could find locally (Tuscaloosa). Candy and the team at Travel Planners will go above and beyond for your trip... book with them, your only disappointment will be that you didn't call them sooner! |
Ashley Duckett 2/20/2007 I just now had the time to email you regarding our wedding and honeymoon in St. Lucia at Sandals. We really enjoyed ourselves and couldn't have picked a better place. I have some helpful advice for future travelers. I personally prefer the Regency Resort over all the other ones. The Regency has more restaurants and better restaurants compared to the other two. It has the live entertainment and a great atmosphere at night. The entertainment at the Regency was so exciting and we had a blast watching the performances.Everyone from the other resorts came to ours for the night time entertainment.I definitely think if you are a younger couple this is the one to stay at.For your older couples that like lounging on the beach and are not into night life send them to the Halcyon. It is more low key and romantic. The Grande St. Lucia is nice for the additonal water sports, but still does not have the energy of the Regency. It is however a nice place. The Grande has the best beach restaurant. It is as good as the Arizona at the Regency.I was extremely impressed with all the restaurants there. The staff at every resort was helpful and friendly.Majority of the weddings took place at the Regency. Zena the bridal coordinator was very helpful with everything. If they tell you can't do something sometimes you just have to tell them. The only thing that I do not recommend for the bride is to have her makeup done there. They did not do a good job at all and it can be a waste of money. It was not a problem though my mother and I went upstairs and fixed it.They do a really good job on your hair for the wedding. I loved the fact the you called ahead and made appointments for hair and make up and spa.The most important thing is to book and schedule everything the moment you arrive. We did this and it made it a lot easier.Book your restaurants first and them confirm or schedule your hair, spa and so forth. The best thing about our trip was the sun set boat cruise we chartered for after the wedding.I would highly recommend it. The food was delicious and the crew was amazing.Definitely do the sunset cruise! It was a wonderful way to celebrate the joyous occasion. Overall, I think this was a perfect way to get married and honeymoon and I wouldn't trade it for anything. St. Lucia is a beautiful place to go and there are tons of things to do there. I couldn't have asked for a better travel agent- Candy.I will highly recommend you. Ashley Duckett |
Debbie Perkins 11/16/2006 We just returned from Excellence Riviera Cancun. What a beautiful resort! Our room was a large, multi-level suite with a jacuzzi tub for 2 seperating the bathroom from the living room. We had a large 4 poster bed, a sitting area with a couch and desk and a large balcony overlooking the pool. There were great choices of restaurants from French to a Lobster House to a Steak house to an Italian restaurant. The spa is large and romantic. Long wide stretch of white sand beaches make this the perfect getaway! |
