Brunei is astoundingly wealthy from oil, and devoutly Islamic. Therefore it has neither the need nor the inclination to promote tourism. However it does welcome those visitors who make their way here. In the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan, visit the National Museum, the new national mosque and see the outside of the Sultan's 1,788 room palace.
